Set In Stone? [2006-02-06] [10:28 p.m.]
Finally. I have found something to aim for. Something that will give me energy to do work set or revise for tests that may not seem important. Ironically however I have put off my Physics essay and Biology Revision for a test tomorrow to do this research. Ever since I found out top Universitys won't take a Computing/Computer Science student for their degree with Maths A Level (Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial) I've felt like i've had my stomach ripped out. I had no hope and I felt like I was doing entry exams for no University. Or at least not one worth doing them for. Thankfully I've found King's College University only needs Maths at GCSE Grade B, and not a A level like every other good university. I will alos need an A level in one of the following: * Mathematics * Computer Science * Electronics * Physics * Statistics Luckily I'm doing 2 of those. The entry grades are ABB with one more AS level. Glad I took 4 now. Odd they need an AS? It's possible. It's not easy, no way near. Getting ABB in any of my A levels is gonna be very difficult. That fact I got a U in my Physics Forces and Motion today, says alot. Have to buck up my ideas a bit. But I'm finally content in knowing my life can go somewhere. I'll try and get a saturday job or something to compensate for the 3k a year fees. I've already been trying but maybe some more effort is needed. But it's a future. And that's all that really matters.
